Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

After Wedding CrashersDefinitely, Maybe, and the underrated Lookout, doll-faced Australian transplant Isla Fisher was well positioned to graduate to leading lady. Unfortunately, fellow Aussie P.J. Hogan’s version of Sophie Kinsella’s British book series isn't the best showcase for her talents as the movie is even more shallow and predictable than it sounds (Hogan got his start with Muriel’s Wedding). Fisher plays Rebecca Bloomwood, a writer with more enthusiasm for accessories than articles. When her employer, a gardening magazine, goes out of business, she tries her luck at fashion bible Alette, but winds up at a dull financial rag instead (Kristin Scott Thomas has glamorous fun playing Alette). Fortunately, her understanding new editor (Hugh Dancy, Ella Enchanted) encourages Becky to develop her own breezy style. Soon, the Girl in the Green Scarf, her columnist alter-ego, is the toast of Manhattan, but the Girl fails to take the same sensible spending advice she dishes out. As her career progresses, her credit card debt increases until a rival (Leslie Bibb) helps to expose her on national television. Everyone abandons Becky, except for her frugal parents (Joan Cusack and John Goodman), until she finds a way to redeem herself. It's hard to argue with the film's message, but Confessions wants to have it both ways: to encourage women to shop until they drop while making them feel lousy about it. As with Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada, costume designer Patricia Field assembles an endless parade of eye-popping outfits --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Yellow Crimson Watermelon!!

"C'mon! You gotta be kidding me..is their any food coloring in this watermelon??" Those were my lines when I saw the "yellow" watermelon. In my 24 years of existence, it was my first time to have encountered a watermelon such as that. Yeah! call me ignorant or naive, but that's the truth. In the Philippines, farmers only grew watermelon with red flesh. Finally, I tasted it and voila! It tasted good. It deserved a rating 10 of 10. This was only one of the few things I enjoyed most while I was on my trip to Bangkok last year.. Wow! Reminiscing is a good hobby isn't it? cheers!

BANGKOK, i miss you!!!

Good Morning Holy Spirit! by Benny Hinn

Good Morning,Holy Spirit!

I have read this book years ago but I could still vividly remember some parts of this book. This book helped me a lot in my Christian walk. It inspires and encourages Christians out there to be intimate with the Holy Spirit. I highly recommend this book to all Christians especially the young people out there. God Bless you all!

Something in the Water by Brooke Fraser

Something in the Water by Brooke Fraser

Do do do do do do do do do do

I wear a demeanor made of bright pretty things
What she wears, what she wears, what she wears
Birds singing on my shoulder in harmony it seems
How they sing, how they sing, how they sing

Give me nights of solitude, red wine just a glass or two, reclined in a hammock on a balmy evening
I'll pretend that it's no thing that's skipping my heart when I think
are you thinking bout' babe? I'm crazy over you

Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water, something in the water
Aaah Aaah Aaah
There's something in the water, that makes me love you like –

I've got halo's made of summer, rhythms made of spring
What she wears, what she wears, what she wears
I got crowns of words a woven each one a song to sing
Oh I sing, oh I sing, oh I sing

Give me long days in the sun, preludes to the nights to come previews of the mornings laying in all lazy give me something fun to do like a life of loving you
Kiss me quick now baby I'm still crazy over you

Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water, something in the water
Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water that makes me love you like I do

Oooh oooh oooh Oooh(x3)

Give me nights of solitude, red wine just a glass or two, give me something fun to dooooo

Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water, something in the water
Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water that makes me love you like I do

Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water, something in the water
Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water that makes me love you like I do

Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water, something in the water
Aaah Aaah Aaah
there's something in the water that makes me love you like I –

Do do do do do do do
